RE: Any places to get RV antifreeze cheap?

Got a place in town that has it for $2.95 a gallon but it might cost you some to get to mid-Michigan. Of course for only 6 gallons the difference is only $6.00 for the season.

RE: Bought Hard Plastic Table: Will Not Fit In Pole Leg

The same store that you purchased your table from has parts for the table. You can purchase a pole and the flange to be mounted on the floor from this same store. This should solve the problems.

RE: Campground GPS Coordinates

You can go to This Site and get all of the State Parks and many other lists of POI's. Another site is This which shows you how to download ones from many other spots. I combined them to get all waterfalls and state parks for our last trip. Good luck. Just found This Site and think if might be the best of the group.

RE: Jayco - Overflow lines

I thought the same thing was happening to us but then thought it was only in my mind. We are going out in a couple weeks and then taking it in for service. I'll watch it and see what happens. Thanks for the topic. Thought it was just me in my old age. My old trailers never did this but they used the breather next to the fill for overflow. Now it is a seperate pair of lines.

RE: Does Anyone Save Aluminum Cans For Recycle Dollars?

At $.10 each for deposit we don't dare recycle them. But the lakes and rivers have been cleaned up for many years since if they get thrown out someone picks them up.

RE: Oops awning ripped what do I do now

We had a three foot tear in ours one year and an awning shop was able to sew it back. Cost was minimal but it took three weeks.

Mid-Michigan Went to dinner and to see the Travelling Wall and filled up at 4:00 pm today for $3.90. Left IHOP and saw lines at the stations at 7:00 pm for $4.78

RE: Canadian coin exchange?

Many times you can find a money exchange at the international airports. We have it in Detroit.

RE: When does everyone winterize?

We have our last planned outing Oct 4-5 and will winterize the water systems then. It'll be covered and if we go anywhere we will use the park facilities. I will never tow in the salt here in Michigan. Corrosion on the trim is not something I want.

RE: Origin on sayings

Was able to find this on another website "PONY UP - "Since the 1800s, 'pony up,' or 'poney up,' has been American slang for 'to pay up.' These words may derive from the German 'poniren,' 'to pay,' but 'pony' was British slang for a small amount of money in the early 19th century, probably because a pony is a small horse (not over 14 hands high), and the term to 'pony up' probably derived from this expression. Other uses of 'pony' to indicate smallness include the 'pony' that is a small glass or bottle of alcohol beverage and the 'pony' meaning a trot or crib - a translation used by students." From the "Encyclopedia of Word and Phrase Origins" by Robert Hendrickson (Facts on File, New York, 1997)."

RE: Refrigerator Towel Holder Plans?

Magic Towel Holder should be what you are looking for. It is not homemade but for only $11 it is cheap. Another Site with many different types of face plates for the holders. These are more at $15 to $16 including shipping.

RE: Running the a/c while driving a travel trailer (TT)

I guess I am just now realizing that we need to justify the question before most of the people here will give it a straight answer. I didn't realize most people are here to actually keep us safe, legal, and doing things their way. Good luck on your AC question.

Now I am really glad I got mine from Gillette in East Lansing. The others would not deal last December. Hope it works for everyone needing service.

RE: Extension Cord to TT

When you get into clamp-on amp meters it can get expensive. I have a recording one that cost around $1,000 but you can get others alot less. Here is one for only $75. Recording what the voltage is will give you a good idea day by day.

RE: airing up tires?

Just picked up the Campbell Hausfeld air compressor that is cordless, rechargeable from Home Depot for $39.95. Was the same price at Wally World. Very small and works good. Raised TT from 57 to 65 in about 6 minutes. Slow but better than carting the large tank from the other compressor to the TT.
